It’s not that uncommon to see earthquakes near each other within days, or even hours, depending on the location. Remember that both locations are located in the Pacific Ring of Fire, where earthquakes and volcanic activity is extremely common.
@ChillyAntoine I know that, I'm saying 7.0 earthquakes which occur around twice a month almost always 1-2 weeks after each other. This event had a 2.05% chance of occurring which is what I'm talking about.
