IIRC the article wasn't finished by then, and we also had another article that was unfinished by time of submission (and was eventually rewritten for it)

Perhaps you're inserting it incorrectly? I tested this out with a duplicate storm and was able to get it working. for example Test 2025-12-26 2026-01-09 C2 and Test 2025-01-06 2026-01-09 C2 both work
I do remember using that article & image to test the (then) new Infobox tropical cyclone season, but it sucks someone else used it in their article. It's also a stub from over 2 years ago I'll delete that
