The 2060 Atlantic hurricane season wasn't the strongest ever, but It was the busiest. A total of 64 depressions that formed this year, with 42 of them becoming Tropical Storms, 31 became hurricanes, and 14 became Major Hurricanes (Cat 4+). Two became a Cateogory 6 and one even became a Category 7. Florida was really shaken up after getting hit by a lot of powerful hurricanes. The deadliest storm was Hurricane Zeke, killing over 3,500 people in Daytona to Charleston. The strongest was Hurricane Zeta which was the only Category 7 Hurricane this season. The most destructive was Hurricane Omar which crossed the Orlando area as a Category 6 and completely wiped out all of Central Florida and then destroyed Missisippi, Alabama, Houston, and New Orleans. It had storm surge in New Orleans of over 40ft. Fortunetely most of the people evacuated so only 2,000 people died, but it coasted $150 billion dollars. That is a record for the most destructive storm ever. Everybody in these states were left homless: Floirda, Missisippi, and Alabama. The cities of Houston, Tampa, and New Orleans didn't have power for 4 months. It took the whole year to rebuild everything.
