Overview[]
This season was part of the 2-year period of what is known as "Frozen flow". It happens once or twice every century. It's when the jet stream starts becoming unstable after about 75 years, and then blasts cold air everywhere. As a result, there were only 3 storms and 1 named storm.
Storms and ranking[]
Depression One[]
This was an interesting storm. Nothing was supposed to form on April 3rd, but for whatever reason, this tropical wave managed to start in the hottest spot possible in the Atlantic. It traveled for 200 miles at a strength of 31 mph before dissipating.
Tropical Storm Two[]
The hot spot carried over through the next 5 months, so in the middle of June, Two was able to form and reach 56 mph.
Depression Three[]
It was a depression for 1 minute, so not much data was gathered.
Ranking[]
- Tropical storm Two - 56 mph
- Depression One - 31 mph
- Depression Three - ??? mph
