The 1960 Atlantic hurricane season was average season that began on June 15 and ended on November 15, howver the season's first storm would form a day before the start, the season's most notable storms were Elsa which struck Florida as a category two, Grace which passed close to North Carolina as a category four and Julia which struck Hispaniola as a tropical storm.
