The 1960 Atlantic hurricane season was average season that began on June 15 and ended on November 15, howver the season's first storm would form a day before the start, the season's most notable storms were Elsa which struck Florida as a category two, Grace which passed close to North Carolina as a category four and Julia which struck Hispaniola as a tropical storm.
This was the list of names used to name tropical cyclones in the Atlantic during 1960, this same list will be used in 1966, no names were removed from the list thus they all will be used again in 1965, any unused names are marked in gray.
