Andrea formed as a tropical wave in the east carebiean it became tropical depression one as it hit Puerto Rico early Jan 2. It moved Towards the North Atlantic where it reached peak intensity. Andrea started to weaken but it hit North Carolina as a category 4 hurricane. It devasted the great planes where it dissipated over Nebraska. 15,000 died and caused 1.8T dollars of damage.
