DurationMarch 22 – April 7
Peak intensity75 mph (120 km/h) (1-min) 979 mbar (hPa)

An large and disorganized area of low pressure that persisted for a week had formed into a tropical depression on March 22, Operationally warnings were never initiated until March 26. The depression resembled a moonsoon depression at some point, And despite the large size, the depression became Tropical Storm Bonny on late March 22. Shortly afterwards, Bonny made landfall as a 40 mph tropical storm. In an unusual way, Bonny kept her tropical storm status for a day inland before hitting higher terrain and consequently weakening back to a depression. After the inland trek, Bonny restrengthened back into a tropical storm on March 26, Steadily strenghtening into a secondary peak of 70 mph, Wind shear and dry air rapidly weakened Bonny to a 45 mph tropical storm on March 27. After that, Bonny once again strengthened into a category 1 hurricane on April 1, before upwelling of colder waters weakened Bonny back to a tropical storm on April 2. For a fourth and final time, Bonny restrengthened to a 70 mph tropical storm before shear and colder waters took its toll on April 7. The name Bonny was retired and replaced with Brionne.
