The 2021-22 south-west Indian Ocean Cyclone season was an active cyclone season that caused severe damage to Madagascar, Mauritius, and Mozambique. Many storms made landfall, and others affected islands. Cyclone Emnati brought severe damage to Madagascar.

On January 6th, a storm developed into a depression southwest of Indonesia. It became tropical and was named Cliff. Buoys were put out by the Indonesia Government in case of the storm going northeast. It moved out to sea and dissipated on January 8th, 150 miles away from the Cocos Islands. No impacts were reported.

On March 9th, a storm formed far off the Australian coast and began moving south. It was named Fezile and continued moving south for its entire duration until dissipating on March 15th. The Australian coast was damaged by Fezile though impacts were minor.
