WIP

The 2021 Atlantic hurricane season was the most active season since 2012. It featured 21 tropical depressions, 19 tropical storms, 12 hurricanes, and _ major hurricanes. It also featured the first April tropical cyclone since 2017, and the first major hurricane ever recorded in the month of May. Also, ten named storms formed in the month of September, breaking a record.

Tropical Storm Ana

First April tropical cyclone since Arlene of 2017. Meandered in the Atlantic; outer bands affected Bermuda, bringing light showers.

Hurricane Bill

Gulf of Mexico hurricane that defied forecasts and strengthened into a Category 3 hurricane, then made landfall in Louisiana as a 105 mph Category 2 hurricane.

Hurricane Claudette

Category 1 hurricane that skirted Cuba before striking Louisiana as a tropical depression.

Tropical Storm Danny

Impacted Louisiana with 45 mph winds

Hurricane Elsa

Category 2 hurricane that impacted the Lesser Antilles and Belize

Hurricane Fred

Looped offshore of the Outer Banks; peaked as a Category 3.
