System Names[]
The following list of names was used for named storms that formed in the North Atlantic in 2030. The names not retired from this list were used again in the 2036 season. This was the same list used in the 2024 season, with the exceptions of Ethan, Josie, Matteo, Robert, and Tyler, which replaced Ernesto, Joyce, Milton, Rafael, and Tony, respectively. The name Ethan, was used for the first time this year.

Retirement[]
On April 11, 2031, at the 53rd session of the RA IV hurricane committee, the World Meteorological Organization retired the name Chris from its rotating naming lists due to the number of deaths and amount of damage it caused, and it will not be used again for another Atlantic hurricane. It will be replaced with Colton for the 2036 season, respectively.
