Black Holicane Ida was a deadly black holicane that made a landfall in Florida, before going and making a second landfall in.... Guatemala? This storm was also one of the only black holicanes to be recorded.

Meteorological History[]

A Not-so-meteorological Start[]

Black Holicane Ida was thought to have started in 1705, when a science experiment possibly went wrong. This part is still unknown, and it could not be confirmed. And, when I say a science experiment, I mean an alien science experiment. The black hole (which we will call 'black hole Ida' until it reaches the Earth) was launched after possibly consuming a planet. However, black holicane Ida lost mass due to hawking radiation

and continued moving towards the solar system. The mass of the black hole originally started at 1 Earth mass, but it shrank to the mass of 0.8x that of Pluto.

Then, in January 2027, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (or NASA) found this as a gravitational disturbance near Luna (or our moon). Then in February, they assumed it was an error in their systems, and just went on.

A Weird Formation[]

Later, in May, black hole Ida finally reached the Earth's atmosphere. NASA and the National Atmospheric and Oceanic Administration (also called National Weather Service or NOAA) detected that the atmosphere over the Atlantic was acting abnormally. However, once again, they thought it was just an error or a storm trying to form, and moved on. However, this remained on the news. Several people were quite curious about what was going on. And, as expected, conspiracy theorists went to work about this. One conspiracy theorist said that it could be a black hole. Almost everyone denied this, but it won't take long for the world to catch on.

Formation (For Real)[]

Several hours after the discovery, a strange 'tropical wave' of some sort forms because of Black Hole Ida. This weird disturbance in the ocean was almost as if someone was pulling the ocean.

Then, a few hours later, clouds started rotating. This rotation was dubbed as an invest. 4 Hours later, it was considered a tropical depression. It's name: TD25.

Another hour later, hurricane hunters flew into the storm. However, 1/4 of the hurricane hunters went missing right after they entered the center. The surviving hurricane hunters reported something horrifying: windspeeds of 120 miles per hour, already. The storm was dubbed Hurricane Ida...until

Black Holicane Madness[]

...at aproximately 9:36 PM Eastern Daylight Time, on May 2, the storm was confirmed to have a black hole inside of it. The black hole was moving towards the state of Florida. The storm was considered a Category 2 black holicane. 2 hours later, the rotation of the black hole dragged more air, and thus making the storm gain strength, eventually becoming a C5 black holicane. The federal emergency management agency and the governer of the state of Florida declared a state of emergency and a mandatory evacuation order.

The storm then went near the island of Bermuda, causing apocalyptic damage. Many houses, people, cars, trees and even roads were sucked into the black hole, due to Ida's ferocious winds. The winds literally ripped the objects out of the ground, and some of the debris fell into the black hole. Due to the black hole's gravitational pull on the earth, several extremely powerful earthquakes struck Bermuda. The strongest earthquake was rated 9.3 on the moment magnitude scale. One of the strongest earthquakes ever reported. Meanwhile, the black hole got a name itself. Its name: 2027 'Dark Ida'.

Destruction to Florida[]

After then, the storm intensified to a category 6 hurricane. The storm had winds up to 210 miles per hour, and was causing earthquakes in its path. The storm was on a direct collision course with Miami.

Several hours later, the storm approached Florida. The storm became a C7 black holicane and started to wreck havoc. At the same time, the back hole's gravitational forces on the Earth caused fissure vents to form along with several powerful earthquakes. Anyone unlucky enough to be in the wrong place at the wrong time was wiped out very quickly.

The storm made landfall with the strength of a C8 hurricane in Miami, Florida. The entire city of Miami was destroyed. No buildings were left standing. Oh, what am I forgetting..oh right the storm surge. The storm surge was extreme, as it was over 80 feet high. That's an unsurvivable storm surge.

An hour later, the storm passed over Florida. The Florida Keys were wiped off the face of the Earth due to the storm surge. The gravity from the black hole also triggered several sinkholes, tsunamis, and landslides.

A Dark Fate[]

The storm's last stop was Guatemala. Black Hole 'Dark Ida' went extremely close to the ocean, which is it's closest approach to the Earth. It started to suck some water from the ocean, and it also sucked away parts of Cuba's coast. The winds at the western coast of Cuba were strong enough to suck beachgoers away, into the sky. Meanwhile, black holicane Ida was about to collide with Guatemala. The Guatemalan government was issuing a mandatory evacuation order. And when I say mandatory, I mean if people did not evacuate, they could have been arrested.

A few hours later, Black Holicane Ida devoured much of Guatemala, killing anyone that did not get to safety in time. Very few people that remained in the country had survived.

'Dissipation'[]

After absorbing much of Guatemala's cities, people, roads, and even parts of it's land, Black Hole 'Dark Ida' drifted off into space, disturbing 1 satellite (and sending it into California, which injured 1 person) and also causing the hurricane to dissipate. The name "Ida" was retired and replaced with Imad.

The storm caused 4 trillion dollars in damage and killed 44 people.

Extra Stuff[]

  • The storm never actually became extratropical or a tropical storm again, as it just completely died off as black hole Dark Ida left the Earth's upper atmopshere.
  • The black hole generated gusts near itself, which were over 10,000 mph. However, it sucked in so much of the air near it, that the pressure was close to nothing, so it was unnoticeable.
  • The storm also lofted large numbers of debris into orbit and the mid-to-upper atmosphere, causing an extremely mild volcanic winter.
  • The 2027 Atlantic Hurricane Season was one of the costliest seasons on record, and the costliest storm was well.. Ida.
