Hurricane Colin was the costliest, deadliest and strongest hurricane of the 2022 Atlantic hurricane season. A Cape Verde hurricane that formed on August 22, 2022, Colin devastated Central America and parts of Florida.

Aftermath

Retirement

Due to the damage and loss of life caused by the storm, the name Colin was retired in the spring of 2023, and will never again be used for an Atlantic hurricane. It was replaced by Cody for the 2028 season.
