Season 24 of Hypothetical Hurricanes Wiki's Hurricane Idol will begin March 17, 2024. In Hurricane Idol, names that have or will be used to name hurricanes are put into a contest based on what the judges and the other users of Hypothetical Hurricanes Wiki decide. However, since Season 9, names that have not been used to name tropical cyclones have been submitted. Once the contest is complete, the last name that stands out will be crowned the winner of the contest and the most popular hurricane name of the year. Blocked users will have their names disqualified, but will be able to participate in future seasons if the user is unblocked. If you are blocked while the name submissions are ongoing, the user will be automatically eliminated and their names disqualified. Users must compete in one account only. If you try to participate in Hurricane Idol with alternate accounts or sockpuppets, you will get your names disqualified, and you may be removed from your position if you are a designer, moderator, judge, head judge, co-host, or host. You may also be excluded from participating in future seasons of Hurricane Idol. The name submissions period began March 10 and will last until 11:59pm UTC on Saturday, March 16. The names can be submitted on this page's comment section, the discussions board post, or on the official Hurricane Idol Discord server. Names submitted after the submission period will not be accepted. She has participated in every season of Hurricane Idol since 2020, hosting season 20 in 2022, and acting as a judge in several seasons. She joined the wiki nearly 7 years ago in 2017 and has been active consistently since 2020. Alex is excited to host this season of Hurricane Idol and she wishes the best of luck to everyone participating! Cade - (Co-Host) Cade is a Junior Administrator of HHW and the Co-Host, as well as a Designer, of Season 24 of Hurricane Idol. Cade first joined the wiki in August of 2022 and became a member of the staff team in April of 2023. Cade first participated in Season 22 of Hurricane Idol and worked as a Judge and fill-in Designer of Season 23. He is very excited for this upcoming season and wishes the best of luck to all of the participants. Oil - (Head Judge) Oil is an administrator on HHW and has been a member of the wiki since April 2022, and he has previously served as a judge in Seasons 22 and 23. He has also served as a designer in Season 21 and is excited to return as head judge for the upcoming season. He wishes the best of luck to all of the participants and their names in this season! Lucarius - (Judge) Lucarius is a junior administrator of HHW and an active member of the community going back to April 2018. First participating in Hurricane Idol during Season 14 and with judging experience dating back to Season 15, he is most excited to return yet again as a judge for the upcoming 24th season and wishes all participants the best of luck! Fabian - (Judge) Fabian is a regular user since late 2020 and a former chat moderator in 2022. He has served several roles in Hurricane Idol from Judge to the Co-host last season. He wishes all the participants this season good luck! good luck frens Hazel - (Judge) Hazel (it/she/him) is a rollbacker and former admin and co-leader of HHW who originally joined in September 2017. It's been in staff positions on Hurricane Idol multiple times in the past, though none have gone quite well. It hopes to change this track record this season with her being a judge on this season's competition. He's very excited to see the season get underway and wishes the best of luck to all of this season's participants! Inferno - (Judge) Inferno is an Autopatroller of HHW and a judge of this season of Hurricane Idol. Inferno joined the wiki in April of 2020 and became an autopatroller in 2021 and again in 2023. This is the first ever season of Inferno being a judge, and they wish the best of luck to everyone. I'd also like to give a special thanks to Finolian for originally organizing this season and getting it started. She was a great host, and I was sorry to see her step down, still, she did so in a responsible manner and made my job much easier. I'd also like to thank HulkCraziness for helping me out with each round and filling in for me when I was busy. As far as the designers go, I'd like to thank each of them for helping me out earlier in the season with some great banners, still, I wish I would've seen a bit more determination from them later in the season, though this wasn't a huge issue for me.
