Season 26 of Hypothetical Hurricanes Wiki's Hurricane Idol will begin on March 20, 2025.
How does Hurricane Idol work?[]In Hurricane Idol, names that have or will be used to name hurricanes are put into a contest based on what the judges and the other users of Hypothetical Hurricanes Wiki decide. However, since Season 9, names that have not been used to name tropical cyclones have been submitted. Once the contest is complete, the last name that stands out will be crowned the winner of the contest and the most popular hurricane name of the year.

Message from the Host[]Well this is the end of my first ever season as Host of a Hurricane Idol! I would like to thank FCX, Dynah, and the rest of the judges (SM, Oil, Cade, and Fabian) for helping not only me out but actively participating in each round, whether it be commenting on their names or eliminating others. Our designers, or should I just say designer, Lucas, pulled through with great banners this season after making his debut back to Hurricane Idol. Because of all these people mentioned, this season was a success. I had a blast running this season, and I look forward to the next season as I pass on the torch to another user who will become host for Season XVII. This season was based off the inspiration from previous seasons, merging various elements from those into this season that became the structure for it. Kudos to those ideas! To wrap things up, congrats to Cade for winning their first ever Hurricane Idol, as well as Akará being the first ever South Atlantic name to win a Hurricane Idol! That's honestly a big milestone. In addition, congrats to FCX and SM winning second and third place respectively! Finally, thank you all for participating this season, and even though 115 names may not be a lot, it still had a big impact on this season. With all that out of the way, I say goodbye to you all. Inferno, out! HURRICANEINFERNO | (TALK) | (CONTRIBS) | 4:55 July 12, 2025 (UTC) |
