Overview[]
Started on September 28, 2010, by Sjmaven1993 (it was previously a Scratchpad mini-wiki since 2006), the wiki's goal was to be a place where "hurricane enthusiasts could make articles for hurricanes that have come to their imagination".
The Hypothetical Hurricanes Wiki is sometimes erroneously labeled by newer users, or users with few to little knowledge of hurricanes, as a "hurricane fanfic website". This wiki is here with the sole intention to store your fictional hurricane seasons and articles, which can be viewed by anyone — not to provide free of charge "hurricane fanfics". No articles in this wiki are real and are merely fictional, as stated by the disclaimer given to readers when they first open up the wiki, and also on the main page. Any coincidence or similarity to any real-life event is simply a coincidence, as articles here are made weeks, months, and years before such events occur. And of course, none of this wiki's articles are intended to promote or encourage destruction, death, or ways to kill people in general.
