This is the request page to become a chat moderator. Please place your request in the space provided at the very bottom of this page.

General Information

Requirements

1. You must have a 60% supermajority or greater at the end of the voting to receive the rights.

3. You must maintain a significant level of activity on the wiki (multiple edits over a week).
4. You must already be autopatrolled, unless you are a former administration member or considered a trustworthy user by the administration, no exception(s) to this condition.

Well, I looked back at the first RfCM I made a month and a half ago, and needless to say, it really was not the right time at all due to personal problems in my life. Thankfully, now, those problems are fully over, and I am back to normal.

The reason I am re-applying is because I feel like I could become a major help to the community of HHW, and try to help calm things down when necessary. I have a large amount of experience when it comes to moderating, and if you have questions about it, you can always talk to me about it.

I have all the requirements needed at this point, including being active both on the wiki and chat, and I have the one thing I did not have when I made my first application, and that is me having autopatrolled status.

Yes, I have had my fair share of immaturity and such, but my goal has been to learn from my mistakes, and make them occur less often. I will also know when to be serious and professional, and the time it is necessary.

• Neutral, leaning oppose — Good evening, FCX. It is bit of a surprise seeing this from you today. I cast my vote as neutral, leaning toward opposition, of this request. While it is clear that you have been making increasingly frequent contributions to this wiki and are frequently active on our chat server, there are a few reasons which prevent me from supporting this request. It has only been a little over a month since your last request, and you already have your hands quite full managing a server and creating videos. Additionally, I do not currently see much need for an enlargement of staff at the moment, although it certainly would not be harmful. I do see good intent in you, and I do not wish for you to be discouraged by this vote. I do think that you could be a good addition to our team, but I am just not sure that the time is right quite yet for any promotions. Regardless, I wish you luck on your application. Cooper (talk)
• Neutral — I am a bit concerned as of now if how you will handle CM. Hype makes valid points but you have in the past shown quite a bit of silliness, which IMO does not quite fit a CM requirement for me. However if you can act a little more mature (which you are now btw not bashing) then I will likely fully support you being a CM. • Support — First of all, you got your AP status now, and you’re active enough in the chat. I think you’re going to make a good CM with your experiences with other servers. You’re mature enough to handle chats and can control those silliness of yours. You RfCM at an unexpected time, which I’m not counting the opposingness on. • Neutral, leaning support — Hey FCX, thanks for applying. One of the big takeaway I've seen and heard was that it is too soon, in which I disagree. I think it is a fine time, as I applied for CM just a month and a half after getting AP last year. You are a very active user and that is always good. You are active in chat too. Your experience will definitely help moderating, since you run your own server with beau coups of people on it. I am concerned about immaturity though. Many say "Yeah I can stop being immature when I need to be serious!" but that doesn't always happen. We have had many times where even staff were causing the immaturity and not stopping to moderate. I am not saying you are one of those people, but you have a bit of a history being immature and that's where I doc a few points. • Support — On my scale, I'm ranking your request at strong support, no cap. Last time you had two things going against your favor. Within just a month and a half, these have essentially disappeared. You have proved yourself to be completely and totally adept to the position of chat moderator time and time again, not only in relevant skills, but in the type of wishy-washy things everyone looks for: dedication, level-headedness, organization, et cetera. • Neutral — Although I believe you would make a great chat moderator, I am pretty concerned about all the responsibilities you're putting on yourself. Modding on a wiki seems like it takes a bit of responsibility, and you're already a mod on a few servers as well as being in charge of updating the headlines on the wiki, making your own seasons, and animating them. I believe that this could be too much for you to handle and too many responsibilities. • Support — I know it's been only a month or so since your promotion to AP, but even then, I still feel like you're definitely capable of handling becoming an administration member. As Cube had said earlier, you are certainly putting a lot of weight upon yourself (something I'd never be able to do), and that concerns me for your sake, but if this is the decision you would like to make, I will respect it. You're clearly capable of handling moderation (as has been seen with your own server), and your activity is very high on chat, which will benefit you particularly as a CM. Overall, I think you are definitely ready for chat moderator. We may have a significantly higher amount of CMs than usual at present, but then again, becoming CM is a key step involved in moving forward through the administration. • Oppose — It seems you've requested again, FCX. In the last request, I believe I stated I would wholeheartedly support you if it wasn't for the then-recent personal issues and the change in RfCM rules. Since then I took a look at your wiki activity. You're still active on the wiki, and that's great, though I've noticed that your activity has been a bit forum-focused. It's perfectly ok to edit on the forums, but with their eventual retirement, it remains uncertain what will happen to the users. And that uncertainty concerns me.

Regarding the chat, your activity is fine. Your activity there is quite healthy, and that is a good sign. Presuming this passes (it looks likely), however, I start getting concerned with something else: the moderation. There have been times recently where you nearly minimodded (I am unable to confirm if you actually minimodded recently), when you could've simply notified the admins. Those things and all make me a bit concerned because chat moderators' main job should be to, well, moderate. I wouldn't want to see a moderator who does anything but the main thing he should do. And I am still uncertain if you would do that.

Ultimately, this just seems a case of bad timing. You made your request a month ago and it failed, though you got autopatroller rights as a result. I do think you are capable of being chat moderator in the future, but I personally don't think that 2019 is the year for that.

Some users consider my votes to be the "deciding factor" in decisions, but that never was the case, and that is extremely disheartening. My vote on this request is simply my vote and nothing else. Many users may not realize that - especially those that worship me - and while that I really hope you realize that. I cannot support this request in light of the many statements I've written about this in the past year or so. • Strongly support — To be fair, this one came unexpectedly, earlier than I expected. It hasn't been a month (or has it? correct me if I'm wrong) since you last made an RfCM, but that shouldn't drop my vote to anything lower than a support. I think you will make a good chat moderator because you seem very devoted to the wiki, and you seem to have high experience in moderations in other servers as I've seen from others. My only problem is if you're doing too much of these videos/seasons, you will certainly have a lot of work on your hands with the chat moderation added in. For one, you've shown to be both funny and serious in the situations when you need to be either, and you would make a great CM. • Strongly support — I think, after reading the request, that you really should be a CM. I feel as though you do "check all of the boxes" on what you need to be a good, or even a great CM: you are active on the chat, you have large supply of moderation experience with your discord. Although you have the if of whether or not you'll "mature" further once you become CM, I feel as though you are the person I can trust to change enough to maintain and excel at being a good moderator. One very important aspect that really boosts your RfCM from a support due to the if question from earlier to a strongly support is one key factor that differentiates decent CMs from great CMs or outstanding CMs: character/enthusiasm (idk the word to describe it). Approachability as well, you have an enthusiasm for the role that you will do a good job moderating but you also have the character and approachability that it allows to excel further as you mix in with the people you are moderating, it prevents a schism or divide between the moderator and the moderated. You have the down-to-earth character and potentially humble character that the people moderated tend to like you more, thus creating a better CM, and you czech (get it?) all of those boxes. This helps a lot as well as it differentiates moderators who are just "no, this goes to #___" 24/7 to those who do their job well, but not too far and take the time to communicate and just be with the people they are moderating. This, I know works, as we look at some of the other higher ranking people like SM or Hype who take the extra step and take the time to establish a relationship between the moderated and the moderator. Off of that tangent though, the only thing I can doc points off of you for would be that you might be inactive sometimes with your busy schedule with videos, school, moderating your own server, etc. in addition to being a CM. • Neutral — I am going to vote neutral for your request, Funnycomixking 2019 (FCX). I am going to bring some points that make you a potential fitting user and few points that you need to improve for you to secure a full support from me. First of all, you are some of the most promising users of 2020, and I have seen it not just on your wiki activity, but your effort to animate a lot of seasons that made by other users clearly shows that you can become a great content moderator of this wiki. You are also more civilized in chat most of the time, and you have good wiki activity. Now I am going to address my concerns. Your chat activity is good, but in terms of chat moderation, I am a bit skeptical of your potential performance, as you may need to improve your moderating skills before you can get a full support from me. Also, there are times that you may resort to minimodding instead of reporting to and actual admins mods. And finally, HHWD has decent amount of moderators so far. • Neutral — Hi FCX. So, my vote this time will be a bit different from my previous vote on your last request, and I'm sorry to say, I don't support this request. To start, and to put it bluntly, the administration is huge as is, and I don't see the addition of a new chat moderator as necessary or even really helping anything. So unless a current moderator is demoted (which I really don't see happening), I'm not open to the idea of adding a new moderator. In addition, your last request was a little over a month ago, which leaves very little space in between and even demonstrates impatience (in my humble opinion). I find your actual written request just like all the others - I have experience, I'm mature, I'm active, etc. But what makes you stand out, FCX? Why are you different from anyone else that should be staff? That's what I want to see in a request. When I see one that I consider "like all the others," to me it seems like that the person just wants the rights, and doesn't really care about the position. To sum it up, when I compare to this to the relatively short timeline in between requests, I find it insincere. In addition, while I do think you would do your best to uphold our guidelines, I'm not sure how often you would actually enforce rather than be passive to situations that occur. One thing you have to realize is that when you're a mod on HHWD, those users will do everything in their power to test you and find out what your limits are. You have to be no-nonsense, open to the idea of discipline, and choose the rules over your friends should this request actually pass. Moderation is not about countless reminders in the chatroom - you will have to issue warnings and strikes, be firm and strict where necessary, and even issue punishments (mutes, bans, sending people to #the-punished) to get people to toe the line. I said this once before, but moderating HHWD is probably one of the hardest things you ever do - I find it harder than my actual JOB, which is managing a RESTAURANT. However, I fear that given your many relationships on the server, you'd take a passive stance to things that occur rather than an active one. I think last time I was quick to support since I did not think it over in-depth, but now I realize what the reality maybe. Of course, you can always change this and prove me wrong, hence why I'm not totally opposing this. You have been one of the best users of 2019, and I mean it. You seem genuinely committed to helping and even improving the wiki, and from the bottom of my heart, I appreciate it. Don't be discouraged by my comments, because I do want to see you succeed and be staff some day. However, for me, that day is not today. The only problem is maybe the fact that you made this request only about a month after the other one happened, which is quite short of a time in betweeen requests, but I still will support. • Neutral, leaning oppose —Honestly, I dont have much to say, and since I barely have time on here in my vacation, I'll make this a short one. You are quit active in the wiki and on Discord. However, it hasn't been long since your last RfCM, and that isn't enough to look back. Furthur more, I question your ability to moderate chat to minimize drama and prevent cancerous chat, as you may (key word, as I'm not exactly sure) have contributed to it.

Recently, some staff members have decided to take a hard stance against non-constructive discussion which evolves into a cancerous chat, and to be honest, I don't see this type of moderatorship within you as of now. Being a chat moderator isn't just having power and to be over the normal users, you MUST use that power as intended.

Furthurmore, there is enough chat moderator in my opinion to do the job as mentioned right before this (in fact, it's probably more than enough considering the total number of staff members there is). Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you are a bad user, in fact, you were on of the best 2019 users. When you get promoted (as it is bery likely by the time I make this edit), you could prove me wrong and show you are a moderator the server needs because frankly enough, there is barely any, maybe none at all, and due to this, I'm not fully opposing this request.
