  • Hi , i saw you checking on my live  hurricane season. was there any problems, and if so can you give me advise?

    • Hi.

I was actually reverting an edit made by another user, so I hadn't took a closer look at your season then. Now by looking, it does seem alright but it can go for a lot of improvement. I would suggest improving your outlook graphics to make it clear where the landmass, body of water, and storms are located. The page can also go for some cleanup.

    • Hello!

We're aware that user meets the criteria to be a userpression. As I said on the thread on your message wall, the users who runs the NUC aren't always issuing advisories everyday. When they do, they will add that user.

As I also said on the other thread, usercanes aren't important; they are merely there to track the activity of users hurricane-wise. I suggest to calm down about it. You can read more on your message wall here.

Feel free to add any more questions here if you have any.

      Best,

  • Hello Roy25! How are you? I was editing today and I was struggling to out the damages in season aggregates section of my tc stats tabe for my 1989 season. My total damages for my season is 4.5 8 Billion (USD). Using the Ntsp template, how do I input the damages for that section of the TC stats table?

  • Hey Roy25! How are you doing? I was creating my 1988 Atlantic hurricane season and put a link to an uncreated Hurricane Dean page. However, it shows up that the link is already made and when I go to click the link, the page shows up as Hurricane Alex made by Periastron1. Also, when I go to create a page Hurricane Dean, it says the page has already been made, I clicked the link to that and it took me to the same page. Is it possible to fix this problem.

    • Hello Danilo!

The reason why the link sends you to a page made by Periastron was because he left a redirect to his article, which was formerly called "Hurricane Dean". What you can do is to create a link to an uncreated Hurricane Dean article with the name "Hurricane Dean (Danilo)" or something along those lines to prevent this confusion and misdirecting. I will delete those redirects in the meantime.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

UPDATE: I've removed the redirects. You can create your Hurricane Dean article by clicking on the link in your season, but I would recommend putting your name in the title as well to show ownership.

  • May I edit on my section of the season saying that I have regenreated in 2020?

    • You can add a statement on your section stating that you regenerated. However, the windspeed, pressure, and all the usercane stats will be determined by the official NUC forecasters (Cooper and FCX).

  • Hi Roy,

There seems to be a technical issue with the start and end templates for season effects tables with landfalls. When I try to use the templates together, there is an unintended space between the infoboxes. I have tried to remove this gap but have been unsuccessful.

Could you please try to fix this problem? Thank you.

    Thanks,

    Andy

  • Hello there! I'm a member of the Fandom Editor Experience team and we've selected you to receive some Fandom swag as part of our first Editor Rewards program initiative with Emerging Interests wikis. This is free of charge, with a potential caveat I'll get to shortly. To claim your swag, you need to visit our Design By Humans storefront, figure out which thing you want, and then fill out this form accordingly. If you're in the US or Canada, that's all you have to do. If you're not, there may be a customs charge after the item arrives in your country that we cannot pay for you, due to vendor limitations. If you don't want to pay it, feel free to refuse the gift. We won't take it personally at all. If you are not the directed user of this message, please note that we will ignore your form request.
