  • I know it seems strange but......

What the heck are Attributes? Roy25 mentioned them to me and I REALLY need to know what they are. Give me some examples of what attributes look like.

    Sorry to interrupt.

    Anyways, HAPPY NEW DECADE!!!

    • Roy was actually referring to attributions, and I'll explain what he meant. This community's content is available under the CC-BY-SA license, which essentially allows you to use the content here, but you would have to give attribution (credits) to the wiki.

In this case, you had essentially copied a huge person of Roy's profile into yours without even notifying him or giving him attribuition (e.g. All attribution goes to Roy25 for the profile). That's why he deleted it.

He wants you to give attribution for the activity chart, so you can put something like "This was taken from Roy25's user page, all attribution goes to him" or something similar.

That's all, pretty much. As always, Happy 2020!

      Thanks,
      StrawberryMaster

  • Just a quick question. While it’s probably not the most important thing to be asking...

If I were a usercane in previous seasons, how could I be re-added?

      Loading editor
    • If your usercane dissipated, then your storm will only regenerate to a userpression in the same season as soon as you re-accumulate 100 edits.

However, keep in mind that the NUC advisories aren't updated frequently, and it's best to not frequently ask for updates. Usercanes itself aren't important as you know.

        Loading editor
    • Roy has said it all.

Interestingly, you have over 700 edits but you were never added to the 2018 usercane season. You might have to ask Cooper about that later, as he's the one in charge of the advisories.

  • A user of this wiki called User:Nclearsphinx announced war on my personal wiki and said he had bcrats from this wiki to back him up. Please can you do something about this and stop the drama? Thanks for reading this.

      Loading editor
    • A link to the thread where he declared war is below. I honestly don't know what I did to deserve vandalism from you guys. Maybe it's because I said his hate wiki was bad like 3 months ago.

    • I can assure you that we do not condone this type of behavior and that we aren't involved in any such plans listed by Nclearsphinx, as he is just one of the many users of this wiki. We won't vandalize your wiki or anything - that is hardly appropriate - and that has never been our intention.

We'll take action regarding this matter and Sphinx will receive a punishment.

  • Hello there! I'm a member of the Fandom Editor Experience team and we've selected you to receive some Fandom swag as part of our first Editor Rewards program initiative with Emerging Interests wikis. This is free of charge, with a potential caveat I'll get to shortly. To claim your swag, you need to visit our Design By Humans storefront, figure out which thing you want, and then fill out this form accordingly. If you're in the US or Canada, that's all you have to do. If you're not, there may be a customs charge after the item arrives in your country that we cannot pay for you, due to vendor limitations. If you don't want to pay it, feel free to refuse the gift. We won't take it personally at all. If you are not the directed user of this message, please note that we will ignore your form request.

    • Wow! This is unexpected, but thank you for this. I gladly accept this request - going to take a look around that site and see what I want.

Roy has pretty much said everything here. If you have added the "Strong storms" category to a page, there is no need to add similar categories like "Strong Storms", "Semi-Strong Storms", "Very Strong Storms" or include pointless ones like "Really!".

In any case, avoid doing that in the future as it may be classified as editfarming. We're always here to help if you have any issues or concerns.

  • I regret to say that I must take a form of Chat Hiatus. By the time you will probably be reading this; it will be morning time so i’ll be speaking as if it is. Last night, I did something quite regrettable irl regarding personal matters that I currently do not feel like discussing. Said actions has caused my mom to “ground me” from discord for an indefinite period of time (the date when my “chatting privileges” return will depend on my future actions irl). Despite this, I will still be as active as possible on the wiki as I can still edit to my knowledge. Anyway, I will be working hard to once again be able to chat again sooner rather than later. Anyway, have a good rest of your day and I wish HHW a happy birthday! - Lucarius

  • What does 250mph convert to in ACE? Also how does it work? I want to start putting the ACE totals in my seasons, but don't know how to do it just yet. Thanks!

      Loading editor
    • Here's how it works:

In this case, you have a 250 mph (should be roughly 217kts) storm. As ACE is calculated by summing the squares of the estimated maximum sustained velocity of every active tropical storm, you should just do 217 x 217, which should be 47089. To make it more manageable, just divide the number by 10,000, which should lead to 4.7089, and that's the amount of ACE that storm produced in a six-hour interval.

This page may help you greatly when making an ACE table.

    • do you have to do that for every 6 hours or just peak intensity?

        Loading editor
    • You have to do it every 6 hours, yes.

    • Ok great. Thanks.
