The Tornellingffhian Sea is an ocean on the planet Uingffh. It is located east of the Uingffhian mainland and west of the island continent of Neo Gaia. It is even more active than its neighbor, the Apolingffhian Sea; because of Tornelingffh's warm sea surface temperatures and large ocean area, storms tend to become extremely powerful and long-lived. An average of 35 named storms form per year.
In general, tropical cyclones in this basin are called Uingffhicanes. However, they are given different classifications depending on strength. A tropical irregularity is any uingffhicane with winds less than 40 miles per hour, corresponding to the tropical depression category on Earth. Systems with winds of 40-59 miles per hour are called tropical swirls and correspond to tropical storms. Systems with winds of 60-79 miles per hour are severe tropical swirls. A storm is truly a uingffhicane once it reaches winds of 80 miles per hour or higher. In addition, uingffhicanes with winds of over 110 miles per hour are called malakas uingffhicanes and storms with winds of over 194 miles per hour tempests. Furthermore, storms with winds over 300 miles per hour are called hyper tempests, known simply as "hypercanes" on Earth. There are also even stronger mega tempests and infinite tempests, whose strength parameters are shown in the table further down.
In this basin, uingffhicanes are monitored by the Tornelingffh Uingffhicane Watchers, or TUW. Storms in this basin are classified using the Eudae uingffhicane wind scale (EUWS), invented by Urlum Eudae Kaywell, a well-known Uingffhian scientist. This is the exact same scale used in the neighboring Apolingffhian Uingffhicane Basin.
Like on Earth, Tornelingffhian uingffhicanes receive names once they reach tropical swirl status. Six lists of names are used in this basin and rotate regardless of year, similar to the Western Pacific Basin.
The average Tornelingffhian uingffhicane season is extremely active compared to Earth seasons, with roughly 35 named storms, 29 uingffhicanes, 16 malakas uingffhicanes, 10 tempests, 1 hyper tempest, and 1 mega tempest or infinite tempest. The season runs year-round, but most storms form in the Uingffhian month of Augingffh, which roughly corresponds to August on Earth.

The land areas of Tornelingffh are populated by both humans and Uingffh's native intelligent species, the Tabulons, which resemble cats on Earth but sphere-shaped and with tentacle-like appendages. Tabulons are also notable for having three sexes instead of two, with a third sex called somale being present. Somales use fe/fir pronouns. This is reflected in the naming lists, which contain two lists exclusively containing somale names.
Humans first formally settled on the planet in the year of 2050. The Tabulon Civilization, which was much more technologically advanced, was peaceful with humans and allowed them to settle on the island continent of Flornelia, which looked somewhat similar to North America. The continent was formally renamed "Neo Gaia" and various settlements named after Earth cities were built.
The day humans arrived on Uingffh began a new era in Uingffhian timekeeping. All years thereafter were given the suffix "SC", which stands for "since contact". The day humans arrived is known as 0000 SC. The Tornelingffhian Uingffhicane Watchers (TUW) was established in 0020 SC alongside its sister organization, the ADSUB.

On Uingffh, plants are colored magenta instead of green like on Earth. This is due to Uingffh's sun being dimmer and redder.
The western part of the sea is bordered by Neo Gaia, which is where most humans live. Due to its resemblance to North America, many of the cities there are named after places on Earth. Two of its provinces, Neo Mexico and Neo California, are susceptible to strikes from Uingffhicanes, but landfalls often relatively rarely since storms are steered away from the continent.
To the far east is Uingffh's main landmass, a supercontinent called Ulstonia. Three countries near Apolingffh exist in Eastern Ulstonia: Bagyo, Kaywell, and Osuwa. All of them are inhabited by tabulons. Tabulon cities are unique in that they are protected by special wind shields and retractable flood barriers which make them practically invincible against uingffhicanes, though they are not strong enough to withstand a tempest.
The Republic of the Bagyo Isles is situated on a large Neo Gaia-sized archipelago off of Ulstonia's Prim Gulf. Not only is it the most prone to uingffhicane strikes due to its location and humid climate, but it is also a very poor and underdeveloped country, meaning storms that hit there tend to be exceptionally deadly and damaging. The country's state of poverty was caused by the USO colonizing the isles several hundred years ago and ruining the isles' economy. Since it is poor, it does not contain wind shields and flood barriers unlike most other countries. Also, political corruption and greed are very common, meaning that it usually takes very long for poorer areas to receive help. The isles themselves are split into three portions: Luzoningffh to the north, Visayingffh in the middle, and Mindaningffh to the south. Anilam, Agan, Ubec, and Nabolcat are some of the major cities of Bagyo.

To the south is the Kingdom of Kaywell, a parliamentary monarchy. Urlum Eudae Kaywell, the creator of the EUWS, is the third princess of this nation. Some of its major cities include Scentrilla, Korvinius, Kerbos, Novus, Kirbani, and Kerolon. Kaywell is also a popular Uingffhicane target, but it does not get hit as frequently due to being located further south. In addition, uingffhicanes may weaken over the Bagyo Isles before hitting the Kingdom of Kaywell, so strong cyclones are uncommon. Kaywell is highly entrenched in tradition and holds many holidays to celebrate its culture; though the kingdom is not highly conservative like Kelargar in the Apolingffhian Basin and its traditionalism is mostly limited to honoring its past in positive ways, some of their traditions interfere with uingffhicane preparation.

North of Kaywell is the United States of Osuwa, or USO for short. In stark contrast to the widespread poverty in the Bagyo Isles, the USO is one of the richest and most prosperous countries on Uingffh, with several futuristic and high-developed cities including Yang-Moof City, whose telltale crisscrossing gray lines and giant white circular structure are large enough to be visible from space. The USO is a very progressive, but highly capitalist and corporatist country that is praised for its social equality and support for marginalized groups, but criticized for the unethical and environmentally harmful actions taken by the many large corporations in the country including the construction of Yang-Moof as well as the rampant classism and imperialism in the USO's history including its conquest of the Bagyo Isles. This means that like Bagyo, recovery efforts after storms often take long due to those in power caring more for themselves than others. In addition, Osuwa has a very strong sense of patriotism as well as a sense of hatred for Morbidia, a communist country located in the Apolingffhian Basin; this is due to Morbidia's values being the polar opposite of Osuwa's. The USO is divided into fifteen states: Poliath, Iltyanthae, Zuu, Galvan, Murray, Arkviridan, Amazingffh, Terenis, Yang-Moof, Jasper, Bolar, Clock, Mamlon, and Gallerian. Like Kaywell, the USO is a frequent target of Uingffhicane strikes, though storms usually turn extratropical before hitting the more northerly states due to the country's high latitude. However, heat and pollution from the Yang-Moof continental city is known to cause storms to strengthen.
North of Neo Gaia is the United Kingdom of the Great Bar, which is situated on a strip of land encircling the far northern latitudes of Uingffh called the Great Bar. Uingffhicanes very rarely hit there due to being up north and due to steering currents pushing storms away from the country. Furthermore, its government has a good reputation and takes care of its citizens very well, so any effects from storms are often resolved quickly and efficiently.
In addition to these countries, there are also several independent islands that are not directly affiliated with any major nation. These include the Terraria Islands, Terrestria Island, Lelouch Island, Vema Island, Hon-Choi Atoll, Sraniyan Atolls, Giza Islands, Sarina Atolls, Boklom Island, and the Prim Gulf Islands. All of them except for Vema Island and the Terraria Islands are prone to uingffhicane strikes.
Boklom is notable for containing a major city named Sumber Alami, which is not only a popular vacation spot, but is known to be one of the most eco-friendly and disaster-prepared cities. A major center for the Council of Nations, a coalition of all Uingffhian countries similar to the Earth's United Nations, is located here as mentioned before.
Timekeeping[]
On Uingffh, years contain 10 months in contrast to Earth's 12, which are listed below. Each month contains 30 Earth days, making for a 300-day year. Unlike in the Apolingffhian sea, storm formation rates are roughly the same rate for every month since tropical waves form year-round. However, most of the stronger storms still form in Aurelius to Octavia. Also, tabulons in the Tornelingffhian Basin celebrate holidays much like humans; their holidays are listed alongside the months below.
- Goringffh
Goringffh is the least active month for storm formation in the Tornelingffhian Basin, but is still very active compared to Earth or Apolingffh. Several swirls including one or two malakas uingffhicanes may form. However, activity is mostly concentrated near western Neo Gaia, with storms near the Bagyo Isles and eastern Ulstonia being very rare.
Goringffh contains one holiday: Freezenado Festival, which is on Goringffh 24. Tabulons celebrate the birthday of the ancient Kaywellian god of winter, Freezenado. It is somewhat similar to Earth's Halloween or Christmas, with tabulons wrapping gifts to give to others; these gifts are always wrapped in a funnel shape, as ancient legends portray Freezenado as a tornado made out of snow. Tabulons will also decorate their houses with mock icicles, avalanches, and snowballs.
- Florissa
Activity in Florissa is basically the same as Goringffh, with most activity being located in the east.
Florissa contains one holiday: Lovingffh, which occurs on Lovingffh 14 and is similar to Earth's Valentine's Day. This holiday is about celebrating love for one another, which not only includes romantic partners and family but simple friends and acquaintances. Many tabulons will go on social gatherings and outings to spend time with their loved ones. Lovingffh also involves love for other things besides other tabulons, such as love for hobbies, talents, places, etc. As such, people will often take their time to indulge in hobbies or take trips to places they especially like. Though not exactly a holiday, there is also the Tornelingffhian Uingffhicane Symposium on Florissa 11, which is when the TUW meets to decide on name retirements and replacements.
- Clovingffh
Clovingffh is often when storm activity begins to migrate eastward. Storms will likely begin to form in the central Tornelingffhian Ocean, with some strong-enough storms making it all the way to Bagyo and Ulstonia. However, they are usually weak upon landfall. The first tempest has likely formed by now, but tempest formation sometimes occurs earlier.
Clovingffh contains two holidays. One holiday is the Feast of the Yummy Stars, which occurs on the night Clovingffh 3 and revolves around the Yummy Star, which is a native uingffhian fruit-like food shaped like an 8-pointed star. For this holiday, tabulons will hold nighttime dinner parties with dishes involving yummy stars such as yummy star cake and yummy star soup. The other holiday is Snoweday (Clovingffh 17), which is similar to Freezenado Festival in that it involves celebrating an ancient god. The patron god of Snoweday is named Kiko Snowe, who is associated with a uingffhian animal called the Snowe Lepoard, which is similar to Earth's snow leopards. Though there are no major traditions associated with Snoweday like in Freezenado Festival, the day doubles as a time to raise awareness for non-trinary (tabulon counterpart for non-binary on Earth) tabulons, as ancient legends describe Kiko as being genderless. Parades are often held to honor the struggle non-trinary tabulons endured to gain equal rights, as they had been oppressed for several centuries.
- Jovette
Jovette is when the first strong landfalls on Bagyo and Ulstonia occur. Tempest formation becomes rather common and storm formation occurs all across Tornelingffh.
Jovette contains a holiday called Crown Command Day, which is celebrated on Jovette 5 exclusively in Kaywell. It is where Kaywell's monarchy gives out a single exclusive command to all Kaywellian citizens, which can be anything as long as it does not involve anything unethical or immoral. This has ranged from something as simple as eating a certain food to having everyone exercise for the entire day. However, no crown commands can last beyond Jovette 5 per Kaywellian law, and the Kaywellian parliament has the right to nullify any crown command if a majority of its members say that it is unconstitutional.
- Urvette
Urvette contains similar activity to Jovette, but is when the first hyper tempests usually occur.
Urvette contains two holidays. One is a holiday simply known as "All Hail Osuwa", which is celebrated on Urvette 4 in the USO. It is a celebration of the day Osuwa gained its independence (it used to be part of Kaywell) on Urvette 4, -17760 SC. During this holiday, Osuwan citizens express their loyalty to their country by partaking in activities with patriotic themes such as an hour of saluting to the USO flag, numerous parades, a national broadcast of the USO anthem, and more. They also express their hatred for Morbidia by performing activities such as vandalizing effigies of Ardosanodon Mortimer, the president of Morbidia. At the end of All Hail Osuwa is a fireworks show. The other holiday on Urvette is Litiafall, which is on Urvette 23 and celebrates the removal of the dictator Litia von Lucerna from power. Litia was a cruel ruler who was extremely sexist towards men and women, believing somales were the sole superior gender. Fe enacted numerous genocides while sending millions to concentration camps. Fe ruled all of Uingffh for several years before fe was overthrown on Urvette 4, -40 SC. Today, tabulons celebrate fir fall by nailing an effigy of Litia on a cross and burning it as well as by raising awareness on sexism in Uingffhian society.
- Aurelius
Aurelius is the start of the peak of Tornelingffh seasons. In addition to frequent storm and tempest formation across the ocean, the strongest storm of an average season usually forms during this month. Most of the recorded infinite tempests in this basin occurred in Aurelius.
Aurelius contains three holidays. First is not exactly a true holiday, but important nonetheless: The Annual Council of Nations Meeting on Aurelius 1. As its name implies, all world leaders (even the human leaders) meet up at the CoN's headquaters in Sumber Alami and discuss important issues. However, the rulers of Morbidia and Kelargar in the Apolingffhian Basin do not attend, as neither are members of the Council. The second holiday is on Aurelius 11 and is simply called "Collin Day". During this day, all tabulons create some form of expression of gratitude (a letter, gift, etc.) towards some mysterious entity known by the name of Collin. Then, all tabulons will spend several hours on hills as part of the tradition. So far, nobody on Uingffh knows who Collin is or his origins, as there are no clear historical origins to how the holiday started. The third holiday is Alzheimingffh Awareness Day (Aurelius 30), which is a day held to honor those with Alzheimingffh, a terminal condition similar to Alzheimer's on Earth. During this holiday, tabulons spend time with the elderly while educating themselves on Alzheimingffh. A new tradition for this day created with the arrival of the humans is a full listen of a 6-hour Earth music album called "Everything at the End of Time", which is an analogy for dementia and Alzheimer's. This tradition is celebrated by both humans and tabulons.
- Septavia
Septavia, like Aurelius, is a very active month. Landfalls and damaging storms tend to be more common in Septavia due to the warm SSTs encompassing the entire basin, which allows for storms to become strong almost anywhere. However, landfalls on western Neo Gaia become less common due to steering currents pushing storms away from the continent.
Septavia contains two holidays. The first is World Science Day, which is held on Septavia 8. As its name implies, it is a holiday held to celebrate Uingffh's scientific accomplishments. During this day, tabulons perform various science experiments and also attend public science lectures. Also, as for tabulon students, school lasts a few hours longer and has all periods replaced with science for the day. However, all of the periods contain fun and interactive experiments, keeping students from becoming bored during the holiday. The second holiday is Atumnalia, which is held on Septavia 20 and celebrates Kaywellian god of fall and uingffhicanes, Atum. During this holiday, a special, complex festival is held. First, all tabulons create large hurricane-shaped hoola hoops to put around their waists. Then, they go outside, spin around with others, and pretend to be storms while throwing uingffhian leaves into the air. After that, they set up a large bowl, fill it up with water, and stir it in a spinning fashion to create a whirlpool inside, which is when tabulons throw small objects like coins and charms into the whirlpool for good luck. Finally, the tabulons go to their city's designated wind wall, where they dance in the wind as if they are in an actual uingffhicane. This process is very strictly enforced in Kaywell, but is more casually celebrated in other countries.
- Octavia
Octavia marks the final peak month of Tornelingffhian seasons. Activity is similar to Septavia, but with even less landfalls on western Neo Gaia and a higher concentration of storms in the part of the basin near Bagyo and Ulstonia. However, favorable conditions are still present throughout most parts of the basin.
One holiday is celebrated during Octavia: Htar on Octavia 29-30, which is held exclusively in the Bagyo Isles to celebrate the goddess of storms, Htaricana. This is where families create large, intricate star patterns called htars. to set up outside. Then, they wait until the next day to see whether or not the htar had fallen or been blown away. It is said in ancient Bagyo folk tales that if the htar remains up, it means that the family will be safe from storms and that Htaricana has granted them mercy whereas if it goes down, then a severe storm will strike. Nowadays, with the rise of modern science, this tradition has become a mere superstition used as an opportunity for families to bond together while creating their htars.
- Thanktavia
Thanktavia is when activity begins to die down again as warm sea surface temperatures become confined to the western part of the basin. Storm formation starts to decrease at this time, but strong storms are still common especially in the warm waters of the Prim Gulf, which lies in-between the Bagyo Isles and Ulstonia.
Four holidays exist in Thanktavia, making it the month with the most holidays. One is Creatolia, a holiday celebrated from Thanktavia 4-7. Creatolia celebrates engineering and is where all families work to create some form of machine or contraption. This can be anything from a simple model slingshot to a complex computer. The second is Mathica, which is on Thanktavia 11 and is where all tabulons do math problems to celebrate the impact of math on Uingffhian culture. The third, Book Day, is on Thanktavia 19. As its name implies, it is where tabulons spend most of the day reading literature. The final holiday, the Planetary Supper, is held on Thanktavia 26 and is where all tabulons simply have a very large feast. There is also a Halloween-like tradition during this holiday where everyone dresses as food and goes around neighborhoods asking others for more food. All of these holidays contain parades.
- Christavia
Christavia, the final month, is when inactivity truly sets in. However, activity is still very high since Tornelingffh is very active year-round. Once in a while, a potent tempest will form during this month.
There is only one holiday during Christavia: Doomsday, on Christavia 21. This marks the anniversary of an event called Doomsday which happened on Christavia of -1975 SC. As its name implies, it was when multiple cataclysms rocked not only Uingffh, but every single planet in its solar system. The cataclysms that occurred that day on Uingffh in particular consisted of six disasters. First was a meteor that hit the Apolingffhian Basin. Next was a planetwide 10.5 earthquake caused by said meteor. Afterwards were tsunamis also caused by said meteor. After the tsunamis, volcanoes all over the globe began erupting due to the meteor's impact destabilizing Uingffh's mantle. Then, multiple powerful uingffhicanes began to form due to the meteors and volcanoes heating up the oceans, including a total of 25 infinite tempests. Finally, a global dust storm and blizzard encircled the planet due to the meteor impact, the volcanoes, and the uingffhicanes throwing up dust into the atmosphere.
To make matters worse, Uingffh's sun, Ingffhaestia, suddenly turned red during this event like SCP-001 "When Day Breaks". The red light caused all lifeforms exposed to it to turn into semi-sentient gelatinous blobs. Eventually, however, Ingffhaestia along with all affected individuals reverted back to normal by Goringffh 1, -1974 SC, but to date there has been no scientific explanation for the phenomenon. A total of 2 billion tabulons died during the initial natural disasters while another 8.9 billion died during the ensuring famine caused by the global winter, leaving only a hundred million survivors. Out of these, only 514 tabulons avoided turning into blobs. It was the worst catastrophe in the planet's history and it took several centuries for Uingffh to go back to normal. Nowadays, tabulons celebrate Doomsday by reenacting natural disasters in their homes and cities while painting skulls to honor the billions who fell during Doomsday.
Something to note is that a few years after Doomsday ended, a mysterious scroll was found in an ancient Uingffhicane cave in what is now Neo Gaia stating that another solar system-wide apocalypse will occur 1000 Uingffhian years after the first Doomsday. Going by this prophecy, the next Doomsday will occur on 0025 SC. Most tabulons believe this to be a mere superstition that will not come true, but there are a few (mostly in Kaywell) who predict that it will come true - most Kaywellian citizens, as a result, move out of Uingffh and onto Earth during the 0024 SC season.

Though Uingffhian days are actually much longer than on Earth since Uingffh is actually a moon of the gas giant Sovin, time is still divided into 24 hour periods to make things more manageable for humans. Time is measured using Uingffhian Time Coordinated (UTC), which is very similar to the Universal Time Coordinated used on Earth.

All tropical cyclones that form in the Tornelingffhian Ocean are classified using the Eudae Uingffhicane Wind Scale (EEUWS). It is very similar to the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale used on Earth, but with extra categories beyond Category 5. The extra categories are there because tabulon buildings are stronger and can withstand low-end Category 5 winds, necessitating higher categories to measure damage done to said structures.

Naming Lists[]
Like on Earth and in Apolingffh, Uingffhicanes in the Tornelingffhian Basin recieve names from a series of six lists. They rotate without regard to the year similar to the naming convention in the Western Pacific Basin. Like Apolingffh, the lists are a combination of human and tabulon names and incorporate somale names. Unlike Apolingffh, however, the way genders are arranged in the lists is different: some lists only use male and female names while other lists only use somale names. The order is male/female list, another male/female list, a somale list, and then it repeats one more time. Human names in somale lists are non-binary names instead, as there are no somale humans. Non-binary names typically come in the form of object names like "socks" or "onion", but can also be gender-neutral names like "Alex". Lists use X, Y, and Z names like in Apolingffh, but also include Q and U names.

Storms below named swirl strength, such as tropical irregularities, use numbers for names and always come with the suffix "T". The number used represents that the storm in question is the nth storm to form during the season. For example, a storm called Tropical Irregularity 5T would be the fifth tropical cyclone to form during the season.
Hyper Seasons[]
In late 0023, the asteroid 53-Landon collided with Uingffh, hitting the Tornelingffhian Ocean. Though it did not cause much damage besides causing a small tsunami, it triggered seismic activity in the ocean floor which led to the occurrence of a submarine flood basalt event along the Tornelingffh Sea's mid-ocean rift. As a result of both of these events, the oceans heated up to record levels, causing extreme activity comparable to that of Uingffh's neighbor planet Saringffh. Seasonal counts for storms were below average, but nearly all of the the storms that formed became infinite tempests, causing havoc all over the basin. The activity was made even worse by the fact that cold wakes became nonexistent due to there being a constant supply of hot water from the eruptions, meaning that even more systems could form even if extremely strong storms used up all of the warm ocean water. These seasons were nicknamed "hyper seasons" and lasted for around 10 years before temperatures gradually dropped back to normal.
Hyper seasons are not included in basin averages as they are considered outliers.
0024 SC Glorazia-24 Outbreak[]

In Clovingffh of 0024, an outbreak of a strain of the dangerous and highly infective Glorazia virus began and lasted throughout the year. Though this did not have any impact on the actual activity of that year's season like the 53-Landon impact did, it did severely interfere with storm preparations as lockdowns and social distancing regulations had been in effect - people in the paths of dangerous storms had to choose between risking being infected with Glorazia-24 in evacuation centers or risking dying or being injured during the storm. As a result of both the Glorazia pandemic and the hyperactivity caused by 53-Landon, the 0024 season's damage and death totals were exceptionally high - even worse than what was going on in the neighboring Apolingffhian basin (which was also experiencing hyperactivity, though not on the level of Tornelingffh).
