Happy New Year HHW! 2020 is the start of my fifth year on this wiki, but I have a major announcement to make.
I will be resigning from the bureaucrat position on January 11, 2020, at 3:00 p.m. EST. I intend to demote myself to nothing. As a 21-year-old college student, it is tough for me to find time to make seasons, and my interest in making seasons has somewhat decreased even though I'm still very interested in tropical weather. I have been a bureaucrat on and off since January 4, 2016, consistently serving as one since September 2016. I believe my edit streak that I started the day I joined the wiki is still ongoing, but I plan to voluntarily end this streak on January 12, 2020.
I'm not going to leave the HHW Discord server, and will still visit often, though I likely will no longer be on every day. I will not rule out working on additional seasons in the future, though I am no longer interested in having an administrative position.
I will be passing control of the National Usercane Center to Cooper. Keeping up with the NUC is quite demanding, and I think Cooper can do a good job with it.
This is an emotional announcement for me to make, but you may have noticed my activity on the wiki and HHWD has been on the decrease in recent weeks. As I said above - don't worry, I will not be leaving entirely. I will definitely visit HHWD on occasion, especially when the Atlantic is active.
Thanks everyone for being part of this 4-year journey as an administration member on Hypothetical Hurricanes Wiki, and especially Hype, for giving me a chance as bureaucrat. I will never forget my time here. I have made so many great friends during my time here, most of which are still here but a few are no longer here. When I joined this wiki, it barely had 2,000 pages, now it has 8,872 pages as of the time of this writing. Back then, HHWD did not exist, and even SM was not on the wiki yet (he joined six days after me)! For the first nearly two months I was here, I was afraid to join chat. Once I joined, I have joined every day since.
